Iceland resumed Commercial Whaling
yesterday, with the killing of a Fin Whale.
It is thought a return to Whaling by an
Icelandic fleet, and also the Japanese is
not faraway.
Some have still been killed during the ban,
but supposedly not for commercial purposes.
Can killing Whales ever be justified, in this day and age?
Should Commercial Whaling Resume? |

In my view killing whales cannot be justified any more than the killing of any other creature
but if people want to kill for food then they should consider what's happening
cod stocks are dwindling - cod is on the point of extinction isn't it?
once those whales are gone, they're gone - nothing can replace them
there needs to be worldwide discussion on this subject and a moratorium until something's been decided.

| I'm against whaling, hunting, all of that stuff. I'm not a hardcore PETA person, but I don't think unneccessary slaughter of animals is the right thing to do, it's killing our planet. We have different resources now, and the ocean is being depleted of so much life, and has been for so long, I can't see any rational explanation to make this okay. |

Good Evening dragonpoe, hope you are well.
Saw THIS on the Greenpeace site.
The Fin Whales which Iceland have resumed
killing are an endangered species, seems
ridiculous to me. :? |

I don’t believe in it they should
leave these animals alone soon they will be extinct
then people will start going on about how they should have been left alone and blaming everyone else and the environment ect but not themselves!
leave all wild animals alone |
