Saint-Lazare Station Claude Monet There's something I like about this one...not my usual "cup of tea" but I can really sense the atmosphere
What does anyone else think???

"The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls", Picasso
I'm not a huge fan of Picasso but this one intrigues me... certain parts jump out at me.

it's a very spiritual painting, sally. friedrich's intention was to show the futility of man against the power of god. I've loved the painting ever since I saw a photo of it and have managed to go to berlin twice to see it. we have a copy of it on our bedroom wall - it's the first thing I see in the morning. |

I have to add this beautiful lady...... she is on my bedroom wall and has been for the last two years. She is the first "person" I see as I wake up!!
She is peace personified....

Hello Slim....there's a simple elegance about your "model".... she doesn't live up to "June" but she looks almost as relaxed!
Ooooooooooooo....by the way....the name I was trying to think of last night was Jack Vettriano
Check his work out sometime if you haven't already!
