I love to cook "all-in" dishes like casseroles (Is that spelt right, looks funny!) and home-made soups. I'm great at throwing anything in so watch out if you come to dinner!!! :shock: My mother mostly cooked out of tins and I never was allowed to cook at home so I really love and appreciate meals cooked from scratch.

My favourite foods are mostly savoury...I have a very tiny appetite so I prefer help yourself type of meals. I love Chilli con Carne, Spag Bol, anything with pasta, for lunch today I just had pasta tossed in a pesto sauce.

On the sweet side, I love old fashioned puddings, like spotted dick, apple pie and custard, and my Nana's lemon meringue pie.

I'm a bit of a sweetie fan too. Love chocolate in small doses but can eat a whole bar of Fry's Turkish Delight in one sitting! Also love Cadbury's Creme Eggs! Yummy!

Don't have recipes.....everything changes everytime I cook it!!! :-D

I'm a veggie so veg and fruit are high on the list

Like Sally nothing is the same every time - I do use recipes for ideas but I don't follow them to the letter

I do like trifle... ;)

I made it for the party you missed - one non-alcoholic and the other... :shock:

I hadn't got sherry so I poured Amaretto over the sponge... and I love a deep cream topping - whipped double cream ;)

no jelly in my trifles :D

My Lovely Trifle Recipe

trifle sponges - broken in to pieces
alcohol - sherry or amaretto kind of stuff... ;)
stewed fruit
vanilla sugar
tinned custard
BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG pot of double cream

line the bottom of the bowl with the sponge pieces
pour the alcohol over the sponge - as much as you think you can cope with
stir the sugar in the fruit
pour the fruit over the sponges
open the tin of custard and pour it over the fruit
whip the cream until just in peaks - don't whip too much or it will be solid
pour the cream over the custard
chill in the fridge until needed

pasta tuna sweetcorn and salad
mums roast dinner
Fiji's wraps

things i dont like

pork
lamb
avocados
spinach
banana puddings
anything that is really really spicy
