Good Afternoon, thought it might be fun
to post anything which comes to you
asleep or awake. Thoughts which seem
to pop up from nowhere.
Sometimes for me its lyrics or people ive
not seen for a while, even things which
mean nothing to me!
You can explain, or just leave the thought.

Im going to be embarrassed now, if im the
only person this happens to! Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed

Here Goes....

"In the winding down hours"

Helen Mirren....Shes in my mind after watching
her on TV last night.

Jennifer.

all my thoughts are random, slim. They don't hang around long though. My latest has been that I should nip over to King's Wharf and lob a brick through the window of that company which took all Kerry's money but of course they don't own the building do they? It would be a pointless exercise...

was at work this evening
and wondering why ppl have to suffer like they do when they get old.
why cant they take the suffering away from the person.
it isn't just the person who is ill it is also his wife. Crying or Very sad
wonder how i would cope in that situation?

don't send the men with the straight jackets (yet) but often times when I am busy working, flits of dialogue will start going through my head. I mean, awesome dialogue, where I just stop what I'm doing and listen for a moment or two, but by the time I get a pen and find a piece of paper, it's gone!! it usually happens when I'm in the IV room in the pharmacy, preparing IV's when I can't really just stop completely and start writing. At night time, I'll often wake up hearing the best poem ever created. But can I get it written down? Of course not, by the time my eyes fully open, the poem is gone. My mind is hyperactive, there are always thoughts, visions, stories, poems, dialogues, scenes, etc. playing out. Sometimes I would like my mind to just shut up!! But then when it does, I feel lost and awkward.

oh, kerry, I can relate to your thoughts.
I see it every day, and tho' I am pro health and medicine, there should be a limit, and doctors and pharmaceutical companies bow to the Almight Dollar and so quality of life is no longer an option, it's all about the quanity. You wouldn't believe what they put older folk through, endoscopies, bronchoscopies, all sorts of invasive procedures and surgeries are performed on people in their late 80s and 90s when their bodies are just naturally shutting down because nature is saying it's time to go... but because medicine can prolong their life by six months or so, they are encouraged (families given false hope) to go through this stuff. It's sad. A 97 yr old patient should just be allowed to go peacefully. But it's not the case, for very few have the liberty of signing a DNR (do no resuscitate) because family members intervene.
I'm glad someone else sees it similiar to the way I do.

hello dragonpoe
hope you are well
i am in care work
i do community care so go round the houses
it is awful what some of them have to go through
i have seen some really horrible sights Sad
families just do not help!
i can understand why they want to hold on to the person
but it is not always for the best.
i believe in quality of life not quantity
if a dog was as bad as some people we see it would be put down i think they should do that for the elderly.
once they get on the morphine driver you know they are not going to last much longer so why not just send them to sleep
and let them go peacefully.
i am glad someone else sees it similar to me as well:)

Good Evening dragonpoe, hope all is well.
I am so glad you posted, thought it might only
be me!!
So many times dialogue or lyrics etc, just run
through my mind.
I always seem to get ideas for stories, poems
even songs, when i am driving.
I write things on the back of receipts, flyers
anything really!
Sometimes when a lot is going on i wish i could
download my thoughts, and check it all out later!!

Today i have had real dark stuff going round.
So expect a poem in the darkness section of PS
real soon.

David Banda, not sure how i feel about this story.
Has been in and out of my thoughts though.

At the mo i have loads of thoughts going
round in my head but they are all jumbled up
and words going round but again all jumbled up
i have tried writing them down but for some reason cant.
perhaps i will be able to when they are not so jumbled Confused
