Greenwood
An echo in the distance,
Whisper of an elderly man.
Walked among, beautiful trees,
So at ease, birds singing, joyful serenade.
Sweet aromas blessed the tranquillity,
Moment of Epiphany, kissed the Midday Sun.
When the time arrives, rest these weary eyes,
Call those magnificent views, my home.
Nana called in the breeze,
Safety of her voice, soothed our years apart.
As one, we glided between the rows,
Read every name, felt every life, beneath us.
Peace permeated.
This was surely,
Heaven On Earth.
Slimboydim.
