Ok everyone.....this is where we play the Haiku game.
Shall we set a time limit ? Any rules? Shall we stick to the trad 5-7-5 format? |

Why, what is the point
Of having a time limit?
Here's our first haiku.

Just beautiful, Slim XXX
Here's mine..
In shady silence,
You, gracious doe-eyed beauty,
Are ever watchful.

Thanks Sally. After I posted it I saw the bambi-style. (And to think....I'm a hunter) Let's just say I have very mixed emotions about hunting. We hunt and the venison does get us through the winter months but it does tear at my heart. |

Hello Mary....people have hunted animals since the dawn of time... The only thing that I am sad about is using and hunting animals for sport...but I guess it's a debatable point!!!

Thank you Mary! I was hoping you'd join in.
I understand your mixed feelings about hunting, and I think as long as it's done with respect and appreciation for the deer (like the Native Americans) it's something holy. Doing it for sport and no other reason bothers me.
Anyway, here's another contribution:
Swift, graceful, lovely,
Ballet leaps through the forest,
Beautiful deer run. |
