I have learnt not to shut the kitchen drawer with my finger in the way!
That it is advisable to put something on your feet when you go out in the garden first thing in the morning...Not nice to stand on a snail in bare feet...not nice for the snail either!!!
That it is nice to work together to achieve an end result!!!

I learnt a very valuable lesson today.....not to stand too near a 2 1/2 year old that is playing in a water tray!!! Having an earful of cold, bubbly water is not a pleasant experience first thing in the morning!!! |

i learnt today
about kestrels and sparrow hawk
i was talking to a man when i went to the common
about them and he said that one hoovers before he gets his prey and or catch it from mid air
the other one goes from tree to tree then swoops down to get it
well i think that is right
also there are adder snakes up on the common as well
the man found some snake skin a while back
he said that he saw one on there
i never see anything apart from cows
better keep my eyes open next time i go. |

which common was that, kerry? He's quite right - the kestrel hovers and the sparrowhawk watches form trees.
we got used to sparrowhawks in Ireland because we lived in the 'proper' countryside but we were upset to find one in the neighbour's garden watching the songbirds feed this summer.
Adders are very difficult to spot - if you see one, unless it's heading towards you, just stand still and let it go. They only bite when threatened
I learned today that some people can be very mean and nasty... |

I have also learned not to go to other sites and read posts by someone I know from experience is a rather nasty troublemaker
I'd like to give everyone on this site a BIG for being so bloody nice and SWEET... |
